Counts unlabeled, assigned, unassigned, milestoned, demilestoned, locked, unlocked over the last 12 months. These are issue and pull request events that require triage or write permission. Commits and code review are not counted. labeled and renamed are excluded because GitHub issue forms record the issue author as the actor. Figures from October 18, 2026. This count is not comparable across projects: each project's automation decides which of these events a person emits. How this is counted.

Detailed Description

Meshery Operator is a Kubernetes Operator that deploys and manages the lifecycle of two Meshery components critical to Meshery's operations of Kubernetes clusters.

The tool addresses the need to maintain consistent state synchronization and data streaming across Meshery's distributed architecture. It manages two key components: MeshSync, an event-driven controller that continuously synchronizes the configuration and operational status of infrastructure under management with Meshery's awareness, and Meshery Broker, a custom controller that enables data streaming between independent Meshery components regardless of whether they run inside or outside the cluster. The operator follows the standard Kubernetes Operator pattern, allowing one instance to be deployed per cluster under management, whether Meshery Server itself runs inside or outside those clusters.

Teams adopting this tool should understand it is purpose-built for environments already running Meshery and needing to manage multiple Kubernetes clusters. It suits organizations that require real-time synchronization of infrastructure state across cluster boundaries and need reliable inter-component communication in a distributed Meshery deployment. The project is built on Kubebuilder, making it accessible to teams familiar with standard Kubernetes operator development patterns.

The project maintains an organized development workflow centered on a Makefile-driven build system that standardizes all testing, building, and deployment processes. The repository is structured to support community contributions across all types, with clear categorized targets available through the make help command.
