Detailed Description

node-red-ui-nodes is a collection of example dashboard widgets for Node-RED Dashboard.

The project provides sample custom widgets that extend Node-RED Dashboard's capabilities, along with documentation to guide developers in creating their own widgets. To use these widgets, both Node-RED and Node-RED Dashboard must be installed. The repository serves primarily as a reference implementation and educational resource rather than a production package, with most widgets intended to be published separately as standalone npm packages following the node-red-node-ui-*something* naming convention.

Developers should adopt this project if they need to build custom dashboard widgets for Node-RED or want to understand how to extend Node-RED Dashboard's functionality. The project suits teams already committed to Node-RED who require specialized visualization or interaction components beyond what the base dashboard provides. A working knowledge of JavaScript is necessary, and familiarity with Angular version 1 and jQuery will accelerate development, though the documentation aims to support developers willing to learn these technologies.

The project actively welcomes pull requests focused on improving documentation and code clarity, indicating an emphasis on making widget development more accessible to contributors. The contribution guidelines are formalized in a separate document, suggesting a structured approach to community participation.
