Detailed Description

ILRuntime is a pure C# IL interpreter runtime that executes compiled intermediate language code without requiring just-in-time compilation.

The tool solves the problem of running dynamic C# code in environments where JIT compilation is unavailable or undesirable. It interprets IL bytecode directly, allowing developers to load and execute compiled assemblies at runtime. This approach enables scripting and hot-reloading scenarios in constrained environments such as mobile platforms, game engines with JIT restrictions, or sandboxed execution contexts where native code generation is prohibited.

ILRuntime is suited for projects that need runtime code execution without JIT capabilities, particularly game development with Unity where scripting extensibility is required. Developers should choose this tool when they need to execute C# code dynamically but cannot rely on platform JIT compilers. The project includes a Unity demo to illustrate integration patterns and provides video tutorials for implementation guidance.

The project maintains active development with passing continuous integration checks. Pull requests are welcomed, indicating openness to community contributions. Documentation is provided in both English and Chinese, with online resources available to support adoption across different regions.
