Detailed Description

Ground Station is a browser-based ground station suite for satellite tracking, SDR reception, hardware control, and telemetry decoding.

The tool addresses the fragmentation of satellite operations by consolidating multiple workflows into a single web interface. It combines orbit visualization and multi-target tracking with SDR waterfall analysis, allowing operators to monitor satellite passes, receive signals, and decode telemetry simultaneously. The browser-based architecture makes it accessible without specialized installation, while support for hardware control through rotators and rigs integrates physical station components into the same workflow.

Ground Station suits amateur radio operators, satellite enthusiasts, and researchers who need to coordinate tracking, reception, and decoding tasks. It is particularly valuable for those running ground stations with multiple instruments, as it eliminates the need to switch between separate applications for orbit prediction, SDR analysis, and packet decoding. The inclusion of scheduled observations and telemetry recording supports both real-time monitoring and systematic data collection campaigns.

The project shows active development with regular releases and ongoing refinement of its core features. Work spans across the full stack, with improvements to both the React-based frontend and backend systems. The maintainer engages with user feedback and incorporates requests into the development roadmap, indicating responsiveness to the amateur radio and satellite tracking community's needs.
