Detailed Description

This is the source repository for the Kata Containers website, a static site built with Gatsby and Netlify CMS.

The website serves as the public presence for the Kata Containers project. It uses a JAMstack architecture with Git as the single source of truth, Gatsby for static site generation, and Netlify CMS for content management. The site is deployed and distributed through Netlify's CDN infrastructure. The repository includes build scripts for generating static files, a development server for local testing, and code formatting tools aligned with project style guidelines.

Developers maintaining or contributing to the Kata Containers website should use this repository. It suits teams already familiar with Gatsby and comfortable managing content through Netlify CMS. The setup requires Node, the Gatsby CLI, and the Netlify CLI. Two deployment paths are available: a one-click Netlify deployment button that automates repository creation and initial deployment, or local installation for developers who prefer to manage their own infrastructure. Local development can proceed with either the Netlify Dev environment for testing CMS functionality or a simpler Gatsby development server when Netlify-specific features are not needed.

The project accepts contributions through pull requests and issues submitted to its repository. Development activity shows consistent maintenance of the codebase with established code formatting standards enforced through Prettier.
