Detailed Description

Jenkins Helm Charts is a collection of Helm charts that package Jenkins for deployment on Kubernetes.

The charts address the need to deploy Jenkins in Kubernetes environments by providing templated configurations that abstract away the complexity of manually writing Kubernetes manifests. The approach uses Helm's templating system to generate the necessary Kubernetes resources, allowing users to customize deployments through Helm's values mechanism rather than editing raw YAML files.

The charts target Jenkins Long-Term-Support releases by default, though users can deploy other versions by updating the image tag in the configuration. The documentation for the main Jenkins chart is available in the repository, and users can search available charts and view release history through standard Helm commands and GitHub releases. This makes the charts suitable for teams already using Helm as their Kubernetes package manager who want a standardized way to deploy Jenkins with sensible defaults while retaining the ability to customize deployments for their specific infrastructure needs.

The project maintains an active contribution process with documented guidelines for contributors. The repository accepts pull requests and maintains releases that track Jenkins versions, allowing the charts to stay aligned with Jenkins releases over time.
