Counts unlabeled, assigned, unassigned, milestoned, demilestoned, locked, unlocked over the last 12 months. These are issue and pull request events that require triage or write permission. Commits and code review are not counted. labeled and renamed are excluded because GitHub issue forms record the issue author as the actor. Figures from October 18, 2026. This count is not comparable across projects: each project's automation decides which of these events a person emits. How this is counted.

Detailed Description

Hyperledger Fabric Samples is a collection of example applications and smart contracts for learning and developing with Hyperledger Fabric, a permissioned blockchain framework.

The samples address the challenge of understanding how to build applications that interact with Fabric blockchain networks. They provide working code examples that demonstrate core Fabric capabilities, from basic smart contract development to advanced features like private data and state-based endorsement. The samples are organized around practical scenarios, such as asset transfer workflows, allowing developers to see how different Fabric features work in context.

Developers new to Hyperledger Fabric should use these samples to understand SDK integration patterns and chaincode development. The asset transfer series progresses from basic smart contracts through increasingly sophisticated scenarios, making it suitable for learning at different levels. The test network provides a local Docker Compose environment with two organizations and an ordering service, enabling hands-on experimentation without production infrastructure. For cloud-native development, the Kubernetes test network sample demonstrates how to run Fabric on Kubernetes, supporting development and testing of cloud-ready applications on a workstation.

The project maintains samples aligned with the latest Fabric release while preserving branches for older versions, allowing developers to work with their target Fabric version. Development activity shows consistent engagement with the codebase through regular updates and maintenance. The project accepts community contributions and participates in broader open-source initiatives. Documentation is tightly integrated with the official Fabric documentation, ensuring samples stay current with framework changes.
