Detailed Description

ESLint Config Inspector is a visual tool for inspecting and understanding ESLint flat configurations.

The tool addresses the challenge of understanding complex ESLint flat config setups by providing an interactive visual interface. It runs a local development server that connects to your project's eslint.config.js file, displaying the configuration in a browser-based inspector at localhost:7777. The interface updates automatically when you modify your config file, allowing you to see changes reflected immediately. The tool also supports building a static single-page application snapshot of your configuration, which can be deployed or used for comparison purposes.

Teams adopting this tool should run it from their project root where eslint.config.js exists. It works best for developers working with ESLint's flat config format who want to visualize rule configurations, understand how rules are applied, and debug configuration issues without manually parsing the config file. The tool is particularly useful when sharing configuration understanding across a team or when documenting how your linting setup works. No alternatives are mentioned in the README.

The project uses a modern development stack built on Nuxt and Vue for the interface, with devframe handling the dev server and RPC transport. Development follows the ESLint Contributor Guidelines and uses pnpm for package management. The codebase is styled with UnoCSS and linted with ESLint itself.
