Detailed Description

ESLint JS is a monorepo for JavaScript language tools.

The project provides foundational packages that power JavaScript linting and code analysis infrastructure. It houses espree, a JavaScript parser; eslint-scope, which handles scope analysis; and eslint-visitor-keys, which manages AST visitor patterns. These packages form the core building blocks that other tools depend on for parsing and analyzing JavaScript code.

Developers should adopt this project if they are building linting tools, code analysis platforms, or other utilities that need reliable JavaScript parsing and scope analysis. The modular structure means you can use individual packages independently rather than adopting a monolithic solution. This approach suits projects that need fine-grained control over parsing behavior or that want to avoid unnecessary dependencies by pulling only what they need.

The project maintains a formal security policy and actively addresses security issues. Development activity shows sustained maintenance with regular updates to keep the packages current and secure.
