Detailed Description

Erupt is an annotation-driven Java admin framework that generates a production-grade admin backend at runtime from annotated JPA entities.

The tool solves the problem of building admin interfaces by eliminating the need to write controllers, frontend code, or scaffolding. Developers annotate a Java entity with @Erupt and the framework generates a complete admin page with UI, role-based access control, audit logs, and REST APIs. The approach works through runtime code generation without requiring separate code generation steps or frontend builds, achieving startup times of two to five seconds on Java 17 and Spring Boot 3.x.

Teams should choose this tool when they need to ship admin interfaces quickly without frontend development expertise. It suits projects that use JPA with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or DM databases, and also supports MongoDB through a separate module. The framework includes over thirty built-in components such as date pickers, sliders, tree views, code editors, reference tables, autocomplete fields, maps, and signature capture. Beyond basic CRUD interfaces, it provides Excel import and export, OpenAPI documentation, and integrates with fifty or more LLM providers and MCP-native tools for AI capabilities, all configurable from the admin UI itself.

The project maintains active development with regular updates to its core framework and ecosystem modules. The codebase demonstrates consistent test coverage and automated build validation. Development activity shows ongoing refinement of the annotation-driven architecture and expansion of component libraries. The tool receives updates that address both framework stability and new feature integration across its supported databases and AI integrations.
