Counts unlabeled, assigned, unassigned, milestoned, demilestoned, locked, unlocked over the last 12 months. These are issue and pull request events that require triage or write permission. Commits and code review are not counted. labeled and renamed are excluded because GitHub issue forms record the issue author as the actor. Figures from October 18, 2026. This count is not comparable across projects: each project's automation decides which of these events a person emits. How this is counted.

How this project is maintained

68% of open issues come from outside the core team, a mix of external reports and the maintainers' own roadmap. Three people close 86% of everything that gets resolved.

Detailed Description

Dapr Quickstarts is a collection of code samples and tutorials that demonstrate core Dapr capabilities across multiple programming languages.

The repository addresses the challenge of learning Dapr's distributed application runtime by providing hands-on examples organized around building block APIs. Each quickstart isolates a single capability—such as publish-subscribe messaging, state management, service invocation, or workflow orchestration—allowing developers to understand and experiment with individual features before combining them. Samples are available both through language-specific SDKs and via HTTP, letting developers choose their preferred integration approach.

Developers new to Dapr should work through the Getting Started instructions before exploring these quickstarts. The samples cover a broad range of use cases: asynchronous communication between services, synchronous service-to-service calls, persistent state storage, external system integration through bindings, secrets management, actor-based stateful objects, configuration management, cryptographic operations, fault-tolerant policies, and job scheduling. The tutorials go beyond individual building blocks to show how multiple APIs combine to solve real problems, such as building a distributed calculator or deploying applications to Kubernetes. This structure suits teams evaluating Dapr's fit for their architecture and developers seeking concrete examples before implementing production systems.

The project maintains active build automation and welcomes community contributions through clearly marked entry points for new contributors. Development activity shows consistent engagement with the codebase through automated testing workflows and responsive community channels.
