Counts unlabeled, assigned, unassigned, milestoned, demilestoned, locked, unlocked over the last 12 months. These are issue and pull request events that require triage or write permission. Commits and code review are not counted. labeled and renamed are excluded because GitHub issue forms record the issue author as the actor. Figures from October 18, 2026. This count is not comparable across projects: each project's automation decides which of these events a person emits. How this is counted.

Detailed Description

Cilium CLI is a command-line tool for installing, managing, and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters running Cilium.

The tool addresses the operational complexity of deploying and maintaining Cilium, a container networking and security platform built on eBPF. It automates cluster setup by detecting the Kubernetes environment, validating prerequisites, and orchestrating the installation of Cilium components including the agent DaemonSet, operator, and optional observability features like Hubble. The CLI handles certificate generation, service account creation, and configuration management, reducing manual steps and configuration errors.

Teams running Cilium on Kubernetes should adopt this tool to streamline deployment across diverse environments. It supports multiple Kubernetes distributions including minikube, kind, EKS, GKE, AKS, and k3s, making it suitable for both development and production clusters. Beyond installation, the tool provides cluster context management, status monitoring that displays the health of Cilium components and their readiness, and commands to enable and manage Hubble for observability. The CLI simplifies troubleshooting by aggregating component status and container information in a single view.

The project maintains active support for recent Cilium versions and releases binary builds across multiple platforms. Development activity shows consistent maintenance with regular updates to support new Cilium releases and Kubernetes environments.
