Detailed Description

InfraBox is a cloud native continuous integration system designed to run on Kubernetes and other cloud platforms.

The tool addresses the need for a CI system built from the ground up for containerized and cloud native workloads. It works by allowing users to define static and dynamic workflows that execute as tasks within a Kubernetes cluster or Docker environment. Each task can have individual resource limits set for CPU and memory, enabling fine-grained control over job execution. The system integrates with common development platforms including GitHub and Gerrit, and supports LDAP for authentication.

InfraBox suits teams building cloud native applications who want CI infrastructure that understands Kubernetes natively rather than treating it as a deployment target. It is particularly valuable for projects that need dynamic workflow generation, fine-grained resource management per task, or integration with Gerrit-based development workflows. The tool includes support for periodically scheduled builds and provides an example repository demonstrating its various capabilities.

The project maintains active development with documented roadmap items including bugfixes and documentation improvements. The maintainers are planning to add SAML support and quota management features at the user and project level. Future work includes integration with Knative and services for creating EKS Kubernetes clusters. The project explicitly invites community contributions and provides developer documentation to support that process.
