Detailed Description

Blender Tools is a collection of Blender addons that streamline asset and animation workflows between Blender and Unreal Engine.

The project addresses the friction of moving game assets between these two tools. Send to Unreal provides one-click export of assets from Blender directly into Unreal Engine, eliminating manual file handling and format conversion steps. UE to Rigify offers a node-based retargeting system that works with Blender's Rigify addon, allowing developers to quickly retarget animations from Unreal Marketplace assets and author new animations on top of them without manual skeleton conversion.

These addons suit game developers and animators who work regularly across both Blender and Unreal Engine, particularly those dealing with character rigging and animation pipelines. The Send to Unreal addon is most valuable for teams that need rapid iteration on asset export, while UE to Rigify targets animators working with pre-built Unreal assets who want to leverage Blender's rigging tools. The project explicitly encourages contributions across development, documentation, and testing, indicating it welcomes community involvement in expanding and refining the toolset.

The project maintains organized release channels and provides clear documentation for each addon. It actively solicits help across multiple contribution areas including code development, documentation improvements, and testing feedback. The repository structure separates concerns into distinct addons rather than bundling them, allowing users to install only what they need for their workflow.
