Detailed Description

LANraragi is a web application for archival and reading of manga and doujinshi collections.

The tool solves the problem of organizing and accessing large personal archives of comics and manga by providing a lightweight server that stores compressed archives and serves them through a web interface. It reads files directly from within compressed formats without requiring extraction, using a Mojolicious web framework backed by Redis for performance. The application includes a built-in reader for browsing archives in the browser and supports OPDS catalog access for use with dedicated reader software.

LANraragi suits users maintaining personal collections on network-attached storage or home servers who want a self-hosted alternative to cloud-based solutions. It is designed to be lightweight and Docker-ready, making it accessible for deployment on modest hardware. The tool supports a wide range of archive formats including zip, rar, tar.gz, 7z, cbz, cbr, and pdf, with barebones epub support. A demo instance is available for evaluation before deployment.

The project maintains active continuous integration with automated testing on code changes. Development occurs across multiple channels including Discord and GitHub Discussions, where users and contributors engage directly. The codebase accepts contributions through standard pull request workflows, and the project uses community translation hosting to support localization efforts. Windows nightly builds are generated automatically, providing early access to development versions alongside stable releases.
