Counts unlabeled, assigned, unassigned, milestoned, demilestoned, locked, unlocked over the last 12 months. These are issue and pull request events that require triage or write permission. Commits and code review are not counted. labeled and renamed are excluded because GitHub issue forms record the issue author as the actor. Figures from October 18, 2026. This count is not comparable across projects: each project's automation decides which of these events a person emits. How this is counted.

How this project is maintained

Practically every issue opened in the past year has drawn a reply. 99% of open issues come from outside the core team, so the backlog reflects real-world use rather than internal planning. 78% of issues opened in the past year have been closed, leaving a working backlog. Three people close 83% of everything that gets resolved.

Detailed Description

Sonoff LAN is a Home Assistant custom component that controls Sonoff devices running eWeLink firmware over local network and cloud connections simultaneously.

The component solves the problem of managing Sonoff smart home devices without requiring firmware modifications or exclusive reliance on cloud connectivity. It works by communicating with devices through the eWeLink protocol, supporting both LAN-based communication for local control and cloud-based websocket connections for remote access. The tool loads device lists and encryption keys from eWeLink servers, caching them locally, and provides instant state updates through multicast on the local network or websocket connections to the cloud.

The tool suits users who own Sonoff devices and want to integrate them into Home Assistant while maintaining the original manufacturer firmware. It works with devices in standard mode and those with DIY-mode enabled, supporting single and multi-channel devices. The component handles specialized hardware including Sonoff Pow devices with power sensors, Sonoff TH devices with temperature and humidity sensors, and Sonoff RF Bridge 433 for receiving and transmitting radio commands. Users can configure multiple eWeLink accounts and manage devices across different homes. The README notes that starting in 2026, power, current, and voltage sensor updates via cloud connection will no longer be available due to load restrictions imposed by eWeLink.

The project shows active maintenance with ongoing development addressing eWeLink API changes and device compatibility. The codebase includes troubleshooting documentation for common LAN-mode issues and provides configuration options for database management and custom device classification. The component integrates with HACS for simplified installation and offers both UI-based and YAML configuration methods.
