Detailed Description

Yudao Cloud is a microservices-based backend management system and mini-program platform built on Spring Cloud Alibaba, MyBatis Plus, Vue, and Element.

The project addresses the need for a comprehensive, production-ready enterprise application platform. It combines a Spring Cloud microservices architecture with a Vue-based frontend to deliver system administration, infrastructure, member management, data reporting, workflow, e-commerce, CRM, ERP, WMS, MES, HRM, FMS, instant messaging, AI model integration, and IoT capabilities. The architecture leverages Spring Cloud Alibaba components alongside technologies like Nacos, RocketMQ, Seata, ShardingSphere, Elasticsearch, and XXL-Job to handle distributed systems challenges including service discovery, message queuing, distributed transactions, and data sharding.

Teams should adopt this tool if they need a fully-featured enterprise platform with extensive out-of-the-box functionality rather than building from scratch. It suits organizations requiring e-commerce, CRM, ERP, or workflow capabilities alongside standard administrative features. The project offers both a complete version with all modules and a simplified version containing only core system and infrastructure functionality, allowing teams to start minimal and add modules as needed. The README emphasizes that all code remains permanently open source with no commercial version planned.

The project maintains multiple branches supporting different Java versions and Spring Boot releases, including branches for JDK 8 with Spring Boot 2.7, JDK 17 and 21 with Spring Boot 3.5, and JDK 25 with Spring Boot 4.x. The maintainer provides demonstration environments, startup documentation, and video tutorials to support adoption. The project includes migration documentation enabling teams to transition between the complete and simplified versions within minutes.
