Detailed Description

Jasmine Boilerplate is a boilerplate project for running end-to-end tests with WebdriverIO and Jasmine.

The project addresses the need to quickly set up browser automation testing by providing a pre-configured template that combines WebdriverIO with Jasmine as the test framework. It implements the page objects pattern to organize test code and uses modern JavaScript (ES2016+) syntax. The boilerplate includes integration examples with Sauce Labs for cloud-based browser testing and demonstrates CI setup through GitHub Actions.

Teams adopting this boilerplate should copy the test directory and configuration files into their own projects, then merge the specified dev dependencies into their package.json. It suits projects that need straightforward WebdriverIO and Jasmine integration without extensive custom configuration. The boilerplate is most valuable for teams already committed to the WebdriverIO and Jasmine combination who want a working starting point rather than building their test infrastructure from scratch.

The project maintains active CI workflows that run on code changes. Development activity shows consistent engagement with the repository's core purpose as a reference implementation for WebdriverIO and Jasmine test setup.
