Detailed Description

Maker Skill Trees is a collection of printable templates and resources that help people visualize their skill progress across different maker disciplines.

The project addresses the challenge of tracking learning progress and identifying skill gaps by providing hexagonal tile-based templates organized from basic skills at the bottom to advanced skills at the top. Each skill tree contains 73 tiles arranged in a spectrum, allowing users to color in tiles as they complete skills or gain experience. The approach treats skill development as a flexible journey where tiles can be interpreted and completed in any order, with the visual progression serving both as a record of accomplishment and a map for future learning.

The skill trees work best for individuals in makerspaces, workshops, educational settings, and self-directed learners who want a tangible way to track progress across specific disciplines. The templates are designed to be adapted to individual priorities and learning paths rather than requiring completion of every tile.
