Detailed Description

Ditto is a clipboard manager for Windows that stores clipboard history in a local database for later retrieval.

The tool solves the problem of clipboard data being lost once replaced by new content. When you copy text, images, HTML, or other clipboard-compatible formats, Ditto automatically captures and stores each item in a database. You can then access any previous clipboard entry by opening Ditto through its system tray icon or keyboard shortcut and selecting the item you need to paste.

Ditto suits anyone who frequently works with multiple pieces of copied content and needs to retrieve something from earlier in their session without re-copying it. The tool operates entirely locally with no cloud synchronization, login requirements, or telemetry, making it appropriate for users concerned with privacy and data control. It supports multiple installation methods including a portable version, package managers, and the Windows Store, giving flexibility for different deployment scenarios.

The project maintains steady activity with regular commits and releases. The maintainer provides multiple support channels including a wiki and issue forums for user questions and bug reports. A beta channel is available for testing new features before stable release.
