Counts unlabeled, assigned, unassigned, milestoned, demilestoned, locked, unlocked over the last 12 months. These are issue and pull request events that require triage or write permission. Commits and code review are not counted. labeled and renamed are excluded because GitHub issue forms record the issue author as the actor. Figures from October 11, 2026. This count is not comparable across projects: each project's automation decides which of these events a person emits. How this is counted.

How this project is maintained

About 15% of issues opened in the past year have never received a reply. 99% of open issues come from outside the core team, so the backlog reflects real-world use rather than internal planning. Almost all tracked open issues have seen activity in the last three months. 72% of issues opened in the past year have been closed, leaving a working backlog. Detailed Description

One Skill to Rule Them All is a meta-skill that monitors work sessions to identify patterns, capture corrections, and generate recommendations for building new skills and improving existing ones.

The tool addresses the problem that skills, once created, remain static and disconnected from how they are actually used in practice. Task Observer runs alongside your work and watches for three signals: corrections and adjustments you make to AI outputs, gaps in coverage where tasks are performed manually or repeatedly, and blind spots in its own observation methodology. It produces structured observation logs with specific improvement suggestions that you review and approve before applying them to your skill library. The approach keeps you in control while automating the discovery of skill candidates and refinement opportunities.

The tool suits knowledge workers and teams using AI agents who want to build skill libraries that evolve with their actual workflows rather than remaining frozen after initial creation. It works with autonomous agents as well as human-led work sessions. The self-improving aspect distinguishes it: because the observer watches itself during every session, it captures and logs improvements to its own methodology over time. Cross-cutting principles extracted from observations are automatically checked against new or updated skills, raising the quality floor across your entire library as you use the system.

Development on the project shows sustained community engagement, with contributions integrated from multiple collaborators across the commit history and a substantial backlog of issues and pull requests resolved. The tool remains actively maintained and responsive to user feedback and improvements.
