Detailed Description

docs.px.dev is the documentation website source code for Pixie, a Kubernetes observability platform.

This repository contains the content and build configuration for Pixie's documentation site. The site is built with TypeScript and deployed automatically through Netlify whenever changes merge to the production branch. The documentation covers Pixie's features, API reference, and usage guides, with some content automatically generated from the main Pixie repository while other sections are manually maintained.

The project supports multi-language documentation through a structured contribution process. Contributors can add new language translations by creating appropriately named folders, updating a language configuration file, and translating content while maintaining the same directory structure as the English source. The site generates deploy previews for pull requests, allowing contributors to review changes before they go live. Anyone maintaining or contributing to Pixie's documentation should use this repository; it suits teams that need to keep technical documentation synchronized with an evolving open-source project and want to enable community translations.

The project maintains active issue tracking and welcomes contributions under the Contributor Covenant code of conduct, with all code contributions requiring a signed agreement. Automated tooling updates certain documentation files from the main Pixie repository, while other reference materials require manual updates. The site uses Netlify for continuous deployment, automatically rebuilding whenever the production branch receives updates.
