Detailed Description

blog.px.dev is a blog platform built with TypeScript that publishes content from community contributors, guest writers, and the Pixie team.

The repository contains the source code and content for the Pixie Blog website. Contributors add blog posts by creating markdown files and media assets in the content directory, following guidelines that include metadata fields like author, title, date, and category. The site runs locally for development and builds to a static production version for deployment.

This setup suits anyone wanting to contribute technical blog content to the Pixie project. The contribution workflow is straightforward: file an issue describing your intended post, fork the repository, add your markdown and images, and submit a pull request. The project accepts three categories of content: guest blogs, Pixie team blogs, and Pixienaut blogs. Image assets should stay under 1MB and animated GIFs under 2MB to keep the site performant.

The project uses Netlify for continuous deployment, automatically rebuilding and publishing the site when changes merge to the production branch. Pull requests trigger deploy previews so contributors can review their changes before publication. All creative work on the site is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0, though this does not apply to the underlying code and its dependencies.
