How this project is maintained

Around half of the issues opened in the past year never receive a reply. 100% of open issues come from outside the core team, so the backlog reflects real-world use rather than internal planning. 81% of tracked open issues have had no activity in three months, so the open count overstates what is actively being worked. Only 13% of issues opened in the past year have been closed.

Detailed Description

Knight Bot is a WhatsApp bot built for group management. It uses the Baileys library to provide administrators with tools to manage WhatsApp groups, including features for tagging all members, muting and unmuting conversations, and other group administration capabilities.

The bot addresses the need for automated group management in WhatsApp by connecting to WhatsApp accounts through a pair code authentication method. Once connected, it allows group admins to execute commands that would otherwise require manual intervention, streamlining routine administrative tasks across multiple members.

The tool is designed for WhatsApp group administrators who want to automate common management tasks. It supports multi-device operation and can be deployed on various platforms including Replit and VPS environments. The README provides deployment instructions through pair code generation and includes tutorial resources for setup, making it accessible to users seeking a straightforward group management solution.

The project maintains active development with deployment infrastructure including a dedicated pair code generation service and hosting integration options. Documentation includes video tutorials for deployment procedures and multiple hosting alternatives for users with different infrastructure preferences.
