Counts unlabeled, assigned, unassigned, milestoned, demilestoned, locked, unlocked over the last 12 months. These are issue and pull request events that require triage or write permission. Commits and code review are not counted. labeled and renamed are excluded because GitHub issue forms record the issue author as the actor. Figures from October 18, 2026. This count is not comparable across projects: each project's automation decides which of these events a person emits. How this is counted.

Detailed Description

Milvus Java SDK is a Java client library for connecting to and interacting with Milvus vector databases.

The SDK enables Java applications to perform approximate nearest neighbor search and other vector operations against a Milvus instance. It abstracts the underlying gRPC communication protocol, allowing developers to work with vectors and collections through a Java API rather than managing low-level network calls directly.

Developers should adopt this SDK when building Java applications that need to query or manage vector data in Milvus. It suits projects ranging from machine learning pipelines to semantic search systems. The SDK is split into a core package and an optional BulkWriter package; teams that only need standard query and collection operations can use the core package alone, while those performing large-scale data ingestion can add the BulkWriter dependency. Java 8 or higher is required, and the SDK maintains compatibility across multiple Milvus server versions through aligned version numbering.

The project maintains active alignment with Milvus server releases, with SDK versions tracking corresponding server versions to ensure compatibility. Development follows a structured contribution process documented in a dedicated development guide covering environment setup, repository cloning, SDK building, proto file updates, and test execution. Example code is provided in the repository to help developers get started quickly.
