Detailed Description

The Docker Extension Pack for Visual Studio Code is a Visual Studio Code extension that simplifies building, managing, and deploying containerized applications directly from the editor.

This repository has been archived and development has moved to a successor project. The extension pack originally provided Docker integration for Visual Studio Code, enabling developers to work with containers without leaving their editor. The pack itself now serves as a container for the Container Tools extension, which replaces the original Docker extension with expanded functionality.

Developers should be aware that this repository is no longer the active development location. The Container Tools extension, which is included in this pack, provides all the functionality of the original Docker extension along with additional Podman support and other features. Users can choose to uninstall the extension pack while keeping only Container Tools if preferred. Anyone seeking to contribute or report issues should direct their efforts to the active repository where development continues.

The project is in archived status with development activity having concluded in this repository.
