Security-101 is a cybersecurity curriculum that teaches fundamental security concepts through structured lessons designed for beginners.

The project addresses the need for accessible foundational cybersecurity education in an era of rapid AI adoption. It organizes core security topics into small, self-contained lessons intended to take thirty to sixty minutes each to complete. Each lesson includes a quiz and links to further reading, allowing learners to deepen their understanding of specific topics. The curriculum is vendor-agnostic, meaning it avoids promoting particular commercial products or platforms.

Security-101 suits anyone starting a cybersecurity learning journey, whether career-changers, developers adding security awareness to their skill set, or IT professionals building foundational knowledge. The lesson-based structure makes it suitable for self-paced learning or integration into training programs. The project covers topics including application security, the CIA triad, data protection, identity and access management, risk management, security operations, threat modeling, and zero-trust architecture.
