Detailed Description

Marko Language Server is a Language Server Protocol implementation that provides autocomplete, intellisense, and editor support for the Marko templating language.

The tool addresses the need for rich developer experience features in Marko projects by implementing the Language Server Protocol, which allows a single server implementation to integrate with multiple editors. This approach decouples the language intelligence layer from individual editor integrations, enabling support across different development environments through standardized protocol communication.

The language server works with VS Code through a dedicated marketplace extension, and supports Emacs, Neovim, IntelliJ, WebStorm, Sublime, and Atom through either native LSP clients or community plugins. Developers should choose this tool if they work with Marko templates and want IDE-like features such as code completion and inline documentation across their preferred editor. The project provides a global npm package that can be installed and configured with any LSP-compatible editor, making it accessible regardless of editor choice.

Development activity shows a structured approach to contribution with separate guidelines for each project in the repository. The project includes comprehensive debugging infrastructure with VS Code launch configurations and a watch mode for iterative development. The codebase is organized as a monorepo using pnpm, with distinct packages for the language server implementation and individual client integrations.
