Detailed Description

Downkyi is a video downloader for the Bilibili platform that has been permanently discontinued.

The project provided functionality to download videos from Bilibili, but the repository maintainer received a cease-and-desist notice from legal counsel representing Bilibili alleging that the tool violated the platform's terms of service through reverse engineering of non-public interfaces, authentication systems, access controls, and paid content protection mechanisms. The notice specifically cited the tool's ability to bypass login restrictions, circumvent anti-scraping protections, access paid course content, and extract video content at maximum quality along with associated subtitles and comments.

Given that the repository is no longer maintained and has been permanently closed following legal action, it is not suitable for adoption in any context. The tool is no longer functional or supported, and using it would expose users to the same legal risks that prompted its shutdown.

The project is no longer under active development and has been archived following the legal notice from Bilibili's representatives.
