Detailed Description

Forkliftci is a collection of scripts and tools for setting up test infrastructure and running integration tests.

The project addresses the need to provision and validate Forklift cluster deployments across different environments. It provides automation for creating test clusters using kind, building and installing the Forklift migration tool, configuring migration source providers, and executing end-to-end integration tests. The approach combines shell scripts with GitHub Actions to enable both local development workflows and continuous integration pipelines.

Teams working on Forklift development or validation should use this repository to establish consistent test environments. It suits projects that need to verify Forklift functionality across multiple deployment scenarios, including local kind clusters and production-like OKD single-node-OpenShift deployments. The repository includes documentation for installing Forklift on kind, building from source, defining migration providers, and deploying OKD infrastructure via Ansible, making it applicable to developers testing migration workflows at various scales.

The project maintains active development with regular updates to its scripts and CI workflows. Documentation is kept current alongside code changes, reflecting ongoing refinement of deployment and testing procedures. The codebase shows consistent attention to supporting multiple deployment paths, from lightweight local testing to more complex production-oriented setups.
