Detailed Description

NostalgiaForInfinity is a trading strategy for the Freqtrade cryptocurrency bot.

The strategy addresses the challenge of automating profitable crypto trading by providing a pre-built strategy designed to work within Freqtrade's framework. It operates on a five-minute timeframe and is optimized for specific configuration parameters, including settings for trade count, stake management, and pair selection. The strategy includes blacklist recommendations to avoid leveraged tokens and suggests using stablecoin pairs rather than volatile base pairs.

Developers should adopt this strategy if they are running Freqtrade and want a community-tested approach rather than building from scratch. It suits traders who can commit to the recommended configuration constraints, particularly the five-minute timeframe and the specified settings for exit signals and profit-only exits. The strategy performs best with six to twelve open trades, a pairlist of forty to eighty pairs, and unlimited stake allocation. Backtesting results are available in the repository's commit history for those evaluating performance.

The project maintains both automated update mechanisms for Docker and standalone environments. Docker users benefit from the nfi-updater sidecar service, which checks for strategy updates daily and applies critical blacklist changes within sixty seconds, restarting the Freqtrade container only when files actually change. Non-Docker users can employ the included shell script to automate updates on a configurable schedule, with support for both stable releases and main branch commits. The project maintains active community engagement through a Discord server and provides comprehensive documentation separate from the repository.
