Counts unlabeled, assigned, unassigned, milestoned, demilestoned, locked, unlocked over the last 12 months. These are issue and pull request events that require triage or write permission. Commits and code review are not counted. labeled and renamed are excluded because GitHub issue forms record the issue author as the actor. Figures from October 18, 2026. This count is not comparable across projects: each project's automation decides which of these events a person emits. How this is counted.

Detailed Description

PuDB is a full-screen console debugger for Python that brings the convenience of modern graphical debuggers to the terminal.

The tool addresses the friction of debugging in constrained environments by providing a keyboard-driven interface that keeps source code, stack traces, breakpoints, and variables all visible simultaneously. Rather than context-switching between an editor and a separate debugger window, developers can inspect and control execution directly within their terminal using single-keystroke commands. The debugger supports Vi navigation shortcuts alongside cursor keys and pdb-inspired commands, making it accessible to users with different editing preferences.

PuDB suits developers who spend significant time in terminal-based workflows, whether working remotely, in containers, or simply preferring keyboard-centric development. It works well for iterative debugging during development and testing, and includes a post-mortem mode for analyzing crashes. The tool integrates with IPython and can be controlled from a separate terminal, making it flexible for different debugging scenarios. Developers working with Python 3.6 and newer will find it immediately usable.

The project maintains active development across multiple platforms with continuous integration pipelines on both GitLab and GitHub. The codebase accepts pull requests and maintains a mailing list for community discussion and patch submission. Documentation is comprehensive and includes screencasts demonstrating the debugger's capabilities.
