Detailed Description

Fancyss is a collection of offline installation packages for a network proxy plugin designed to run on ASUS routers based on asuswrt or asuswrt-merlin firmware with software center support.

The tool addresses the need for circumvention functionality on compatible routers by providing pre-built packages tailored to different router hardware platforms. It supports multiple proxy protocols including Shadowsocks, ShadowsocksR, V2ray, Xray, Trojan, NaïveProxy, Tuic, and Hysteria2, with additional acceleration options through kcptun, udpspeeder, and udp2raw. The plugin offers various operational modes such as gfwlist-based filtering, mainland whitelist, gaming mode, global mode, and return-to-mainland mode. It includes DNS customization, online subscription support for proxy nodes, QR code generation for node sharing, and features like failover, load balancing, scheduled restarts, and automatic rule updates.

Adoption is appropriate for users running compatible ASUS routers with firmware version 384 or higher who need proxy functionality at the router level. The project maintains separate packages for different hardware architectures: ARM platforms, HND ARMv7L, HND AArch64, QCA, and MediaTek platforms. Both full and lite versions are available, with the lite variant consuming minimal storage on routers with limited flash memory. ARMv8 models gain additional benefits including TCP fast open and multi-core execution for certain proxy protocols.
