Maintainer activity

2 people did triage or write work on this repository in the last 12 months.

Counts unlabeled, assigned, unassigned, milestoned, demilestoned, locked, unlocked over the last 12 months. These are issue and pull request events that require triage or write permission. Commits and code review are not counted. labeled and renamed are excluded because GitHub issue forms record the issue author as the actor. Figures from October 18, 2026. This count is not comparable across projects: each project's automation decides which of these events a person emits. How this is counted.

How this project is maintained

Roughly one issue in three opened in the past year never receives a reply. 95% of open issues come from outside the core team, so the backlog reflects real-world use rather than internal planning. Almost all tracked open issues have seen activity in the last three months. Only 49% of issues opened in the past year have been closed. Three people close 87% of everything that gets resolved.

Detailed Description

MonoCode is a GUI for managing and running coding agents.

The tool solves the problem of fragmented workflows when working with multiple AI coding agents by providing a unified interface to launch and interact with them. It works by detecting installed and authenticated agents on your system—including Claude Code, Cursor, Devin, and others—and presenting them through a tabbed interface where each tab represents a separate agent session. Users compose messages in a built-in composer and can split panes to view multiple sessions side by side. The tool also supports an experimental `/operator` mode that grants agents access to open new sessions, manage Git worktrees, and maintain notes across projects.

MonoCode suits developers who actively use multiple coding agents and want to coordinate their work without switching between separate applications. It works best for projects where you need to run parallel tasks or compare outputs from different agents, particularly when using Git worktrees to isolate work. The tool does not resell tokens; it relies on your existing subscriptions and authentication with supported providers. An experimental feature called Monos allows agents to maintain memory across projects and execute scheduled tasks, though this remains under development.

The project is in early stages with active bug reporting encouraged. Development shows responsiveness to issues and welcomes small, focused contributions from the community. The codebase is written in TypeScript and builds on Node.js and Rust toolchains, with platform-specific installers available for macOS, Windows, and Linux.
