Detailed Description

Fluent Helm Charts is a collection of Helm charts for deploying Fluent Bit, Fluentd, and related projects in Kubernetes environments.

The charts address the need to standardize and simplify deployment of Fluent's logging and data processing tools across Kubernetes clusters. They provide pre-configured Helm charts that handle the complexity of setting up these components, allowing operators to deploy them through standard Helm commands rather than managing raw Kubernetes manifests. The project offers charts for different deployment patterns, including aggregator and collector variants for Fluent Bit, a standard Fluent Bit chart, Fluentd with its own aggregator variant, and a Fluent Operator chart.

Teams should adopt these charts if they are already using Helm for Kubernetes deployments and need to integrate Fluent Bit or Fluentd for log collection and processing. The charts support both OCI and traditional Helm repository installation methods, making them accessible regardless of infrastructure setup. The project explicitly notes that this functionality is in beta and subject to change, so teams should evaluate whether they can accept that stability level for their production environments.

The project maintains multiple distinct charts addressing different use cases, with documentation for each chart available in its own directory. Contributions are actively welcomed through documented contribution guidelines, indicating openness to community involvement in the project's development.
