Detailed Description

WindsurfAPI is a self-hosted reverse proxy that exposes the AI models available in Windsurf and Devin Desktop through standardized APIs.

The tool solves the problem of accessing over 100 AI models (Claude, GPT, Gemini, DeepSeek, Kimi, GLM, SWE, and others) through a unified interface. It works by intercepting requests to Windsurf or Devin Desktop and translating them into four compatible API formats: OpenAI Chat Completions, OpenAI Completions, OpenAI Responses, Anthropic Messages, and Gemini API endpoints. This allows existing code and tools built for these standard APIs to work directly without modification. The implementation has zero npm runtime dependencies and runs as pure Node.js.

Developers should choose this tool if they want to leverage the model variety available in Windsurf or Devin Desktop within applications or tools that expect OpenAI, Anthropic, or Gemini API compatibility.
