BrowserOS is an open-source agentic browser designed as a secondary browser for AI agents to perform web-based tasks independently.

The tool addresses the need for AI agents to interact with web applications that require authentication and human-like browser behavior. Rather than replacing your primary browser, BrowserOS provides a dedicated environment where agents can operate in parallel across multiple tabs while you observe their actions in real time or review sessions afterward. The browser imports logins, bookmarks, and extensions directly from Chrome, eliminating setup friction. It integrates with AI agents including Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and MCP-compatible systems through a single-click connection process.

BrowserOS suits developers and teams who want to automate web-based workflows that demand logged-in accessβ€”such as social media posting, email management, CRM updates, expense filing, and report generation from internal tools. It is built for local execution, meaning all processing happens on your machine without cloud dependencies. The tool works across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
