Detailed Description

jest-in-case is a Jest utility for creating variations of the same test.

The tool solves the problem of test duplication when you need to run the same test logic against multiple sets of inputs. Rather than writing separate test cases for each variation, jest-in-case lets you define a single tester function and pass it an array or object of test cases. Each case becomes its own test, with properties from the case object passed to the tester function. The approach reduces boilerplate while keeping test output organized and readable.

Jest-in-case suits projects where you have parameterized tests—scenarios where the same assertions need to run against different data. It works well for testing utility functions, validation logic, or any code path that should behave consistently across multiple inputs. The tool integrates directly with Jest's test runner, so it respects Jest's `test.only` and `test.skip` mechanisms through optional properties on each case.

The project shows active maintenance with responsive issue handling and regular updates to keep pace with Jest changes. Development activity reflects attention to both bug fixes and feature requests from users. The maintainers engage constructively with the community on implementation questions and edge cases.
