Counts unlabeled, assigned, unassigned, milestoned, demilestoned, locked, unlocked over the last 12 months. These are issue and pull request events that require triage or write permission. Commits and code review are not counted. labeled and renamed are excluded because GitHub issue forms record the issue author as the actor. Figures from October 18, 2026. This count is not comparable across projects: each project's automation decides which of these events a person emits. How this is counted.

How this project is maintained

About 14% of issues opened in the past year have never received a reply. 100% of open issues come from outside the core team, so the backlog reflects real-world use rather than internal planning. Only 57% of issues opened in the past year have been closed. Three people close 100% of everything that gets resolved.

Detailed Description

Plexo is a download manager that accelerates file transfers by splitting downloads across multiple network connections in parallel.

The tool solves the problem of underutilized network capacity by distributing a single download across every available connection simultaneously. For direct downloads, it splits files into blocks that streams fetch in parallel across selected networks, with each stream taking the next available block as soon as it finishes, allowing faster connections to do more work. The system dynamically adjusts stream counts per network, starting at eight and scaling to sixteen or thirty-two as capacity allows. For torrents, it accepts magnet links and `.torrent` files, lets you select which files to download before starting, and spreads peers across networks so uploads occur on every connection. Downloads survive computer restarts and sleep by saving progress continuously and resuming when the system wakes or networks reconnect. The tool handles expired links by accepting fresh URLs for the same file and resuming from the stopping point, and backs off gracefully when servers rate-limit or refuse connections.

Plexo suits anyone with multiple network interfaces—such as Wi-Fi and USB-tethered phone connections—who wants to maximize download speed without manual intervention. It works on Windows, macOS, and Linux with installers for multiple architectures. The tool handles direct links, magnet links, and torrent files in a single interface with per-network speed and data limits, a download queue, and a persistent downloads list. The macOS app is signed and notarized; Windows and Linux builds are available as installers and AppImage packages.

The project maintains active development with regular updates that install automatically in the background. The codebase is written in TypeScript and the tool is distributed across multiple platforms with architecture-specific builds kept current. The project provides a homepage with organized download options and maintains a releases page with builds for different operating systems and processor types.
