How this project is maintained

Roughly one issue in three opened in the past year never receives a reply. 100% of open issues come from outside the core team, so the backlog reflects real-world use rather than internal planning. Only 57% of issues opened in the past year have been closed. Three people close 100% of everything that gets resolved.

Detailed Description

Easel is an open-source AI agent for social media content creation that automates trend discovery, content generation, and multi-platform publishing.

The tool addresses the workflow fragmentation that social media creators face by integrating trend analysis, content creation, and publishing into a single agent-driven system. It combines an OpenClaw Agent framework with account profiling, content skills, and direct connections to real media platforms. Rather than simply recommending what creators should do, the agent actively generates content, archives it, and can publish directly or on demand across multiple Chinese social platforms including Xiaohongshu, Douyin, Zhihu, and Bilibili.

Easel suits creators and social media managers who operate across multiple platforms and want to streamline their entire content workflow from ideation through publication and performance analysis. The tool is particularly valuable for those working with Chinese social media ecosystems. It distinguishes itself by offering end-to-end automation rather than isolated tools for individual steps, and by providing the ability to learn what content performs across different platforms.

The project shows active development with regular updates and maintains a structured skill system. The codebase demonstrates ongoing refinement of the agent capabilities and platform integrations. Community engagement appears strong through organized communication channels, indicating responsive maintenance and user support.
