Maintainer activity

4 people did triage or write work on this repository in the last 12 months.

Counts unlabeled, assigned, unassigned, milestoned, demilestoned, locked, unlocked over the last 12 months. These are issue and pull request events that require triage or write permission. Commits and code review are not counted. labeled and renamed are excluded because GitHub issue forms record the issue author as the actor. Figures from October 11, 2026. This count is not comparable across projects: each project's automation decides which of these events a person emits. How this is counted.

How this project is maintained

Detailed Description

Fundamental Styles is a lightweight, framework-agnostic CSS component library for building SAP user interfaces with any web technology.

The library solves the problem of creating consistent SAP applications across different technology stacks by providing ready-to-use components and styles that work independently of any JavaScript framework. It ships as pure CSS that can be imported via NPM or CDN and applied to vanilla HTML, Angular, React, Vue, or any other web technology. The approach centers on separating styling concerns from framework logic, allowing developers to adopt SAP design patterns without framework lock-in.

Teams building SAP applications should choose this library if they need visual consistency with SAP design standards and want to avoid reimplementing components across different projects or technology choices. It suits organizations with mixed technology stacks where some applications use Angular, others React or Vue, and still others plain HTML. The library includes multiple theme variants covering light, dark, and high-contrast modes, with theming applied through CSS files rather than JavaScript configuration. Fonts and icons are sourced separately from the theming base content package, so both the theme CSS and the Fundamental Styles CSS must be included for proper rendering.

The project maintains active development with regular releases and continuous integration workflows. The codebase is documented through Storybook examples and hosted documentation, making it straightforward for new adopters to explore available components. The team actively engages with users through a dedicated Slack community channel for questions and feedback.
