Detailed Description

Aerial is a Mac screensaver that displays Apple TV aerial views.

The tool brings the cinematic aerial footage from Apple TV to your Mac's screensaver, allowing users to enjoy high-quality landscape and nature videos during idle periods. It works by fetching and caching video content and cycling through the collection automatically when the screensaver activates.

This screensaver suits Mac users who want visually engaging idle-screen content without additional configuration. The project is distributed as a legacy `.saver` format package, though development has moved to a newer App Extension architecture bundled in the Aerial.app application, which represents the current recommended version for new installations.

The repository represents the historical distribution point for the original `.saver` implementation. Active development has transitioned to the App Extension version, with this repository maintained primarily as an archive of the earlier format.
