Detailed Description

Fold Craft Launcher is an Android launcher for Minecraft Java Edition that enables playing the full Java version of Minecraft on mobile devices.

The launcher addresses the challenge of running Minecraft Java Edition on Android by combining the core functionality of HMCL with the Amethyst-Android backend. It provides native support for all Minecraft versions including the latest snapshots, with compatibility for multiple mod loaders including Forge, NeoForge, Fabric, Quilt, LiteLoader, OptiFine, and Cleanroom. The tool includes built-in Java runtimes for versions 8, 17, 21, and 25, alongside support for importing custom Java installations. Additional features include virtual mouse controls with customizable key mapping, shader support through VirGL, Zink, or MG renderers, dynamic resource management for mods and resource packs, and theme customization options.

Developers should choose this launcher if they want to play modded Minecraft Java Edition on Android devices. It suits projects ranging from vanilla gameplay to heavily modded installations. The tool distinguishes itself through its support for layout conversion between FCL and ZalithLauncher2 formats, allowing users to import existing layouts with automatic transformation. The renderer system is pluggable, enabling community extensions for graphics rendering.

The project maintains active development with ongoing feature additions and refinements. The team actively manages localization through a web-based translation platform that requires no installation from contributors. The codebase receives regular updates addressing both new Minecraft versions and user-reported issues.
