7 people did triage or write work on this repository in the last 12 months.

Counts unlabeled, assigned, unassigned, milestoned, demilestoned, locked, unlocked over the last 12 months. These are issue and pull request events that require triage or write permission. Commits and code review are not counted. labeled and renamed are excluded because GitHub issue forms record the issue author as the actor. Figures from October 11, 2026. This count is not comparable across projects: each project's automation decides which of these events a person emits. How this is counted.

Detailed Description

CodeCompass is a code comprehension tool for analyzing large-scale software written in C, C++, C#, and Python.

The tool addresses the challenge of understanding complex codebases by parsing source code deeply and exposing relationships between code elements through a web-based interface. It extracts structural information and generates multiple diagram types including call paths, inheritance hierarchies, and aggregation relationships, enabling developers to navigate and visualize code dependencies at scale.

CodeCompass suits teams maintaining large C and C++ projects who need interactive exploration of codebase structure without leaving their browser. The tool is designed to handle codebases of substantial size while maintaining responsive query performance. A live demonstration is available using the LLVM source code, allowing prospective users to evaluate the interface and navigation experience before deployment.

The project maintains active build automation across multiple platforms and packaging formats. Security practices are tracked through third-party assessment. Development follows documented coding conventions and provides separate guides for backend usage, frontend development, and Docker-based deployment.
