Counts unlabeled, assigned, unassigned, milestoned, demilestoned, locked, unlocked over the last 12 months. These are issue and pull request events that require triage or write permission. Commits and code review are not counted. labeled and renamed are excluded because GitHub issue forms record the issue author as the actor. Figures from October 11, 2026. This count is not comparable across projects: each project's automation decides which of these events a person emits.

Detailed Description

Motion Canvas is a TypeScript library and editor for creating code-based vector animations synchronized with voice-overs.

The tool addresses the challenge of programmatically creating informative animations by using generators to define animation sequences in TypeScript. Developers write animation logic as code, and the editor provides real-time preview and editing capabilities. The editor allows adjustment of certain animation parameters that would otherwise require code changes and recompilation, streamlining the iteration process.

Motion Canvas suits projects where animations need to be version-controlled, parameterized, or integrated into development workflows. It is particularly well-suited for educational content, technical explanations, and presentations where precise synchronization between visuals and narration matters. The tool is designed specifically for vector graphics rather than general-purpose video production.

The project shows substantial real-world adoption, with almost all open issues originating from outside users rather than the core team. Work in the issue tracker centers on bug fixes, enhancements, and accepted proposals, indicating active engagement with user-reported problems and feature requests.
